There are two types of stainless steel coils:
Cold rolled stainless steel coil:
This is a more aesthetic finished product. Compared with hot rolled coils, their surfaces are smoother and more durable. They also provide better performance, but may be more difficult to handle because of the high carbon content in their chemical composition.
Stainless steel HR coil:
Steel is rolled at a very high temperature, which makes it very easy to handle. It makes the product have high machinability. Because this manufacturing involves less processing, it is a more economical process compared with cold rolling.
Customers can also obtain pre-painted stainless steel coils, in which paint is coated on stainless steel through a continuous coil coating process. The paint on the surface helps to increase the corrosion resistance and appearance of the surface, so that the paint has a uniform finish. In the whole process of coil painting, the coil should be nondestructive, clean and chemically treated.
